HAVE YOU DECIDED WHERE YOU WILL SPEND ETERNITY?

Some people may feel like that’s a pretty disturbing question; however, the reality is that not addressing this question has grave consequences.  Your eternal destination greatly depends on your answer to this question.  It’s almost amazing that we tend put more thought into which car insurance company we’ll use rather than our eternal destiny and you know what?  Not answering this question is actually an answer in itself.  The Bible tells us that we were born in sin, even while in our mothers’ womb (Psalms 51:5); thus we are born with a sinful nature.  Consequently, due to our sinful nature we are born separated from God because He is a Holy God (Romans 3:23).  However, God loves us so much that He created a Salvation Plan for all who desire to be in right relations with Him.

I’M A GOOD PERSON.  MY DEEDS WILL GET ME INTO HEAVEN

Being in right relations with God and going to heaven doesn’t happen just because you have a nice personality and you try not to hurt others.  No, this means that you are doing nice gestures; however, being nice doesn’t’ cut it.  To paraphrase Isaiah 64:6, ALL of our righteousness (this means our ‘great and wonderful’ deeds) are like filthy rags to a Holy God.  The Word of God, states that the wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23). The word ‘death’ just doesn’t mean you’re asleep with no consciousness.  Death without accepting God’s plan of salvation is eternal damnation, which is hell.  The Bible state that there is an unquenchable fire, worms that don’t die, weeping and gnashing of teeth (Mark 9:43-48, Matthew 8:12); all of which implies consciousness.  Additionally, once judgment is made there is no 2nd chance (Luke 16:19-31), nor purgatory.  Judgment is final for eternity.  God knows this which why He’s created a Salvation Plan so that we can escape the wages of sin and have eternal life.  Simply doing nothing secures your place in eternal damnation; as by default we are all destined to hell unless we change this by accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior.

SO WHAT MUST I DO?

The Bible says that Jesus is the ONLY way to the Father (John 14:6) and accepting Him puts us in right relationship with the Father and secures our eternity in heaven.  Romans 10:9-10 says that all we need to do is confess Jesus as Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead; for with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.  That’s it!  It is your confession and heart’s belief that changes your eternal destination.  You can simply use the above Scripture as your prayer RIGHT NOW so that you can be in right relations with God and reap the rewards of being a child of the King.  Do not put this off for another moment. DO IT NOW; as you never know what the next hour will bring.

YOU DON’T KNOW HOW BAD I’VE BEEN.

Your previous sins or your current problems and addictions doesn’t deter God from wiping your slate clean.  Actually, He already knows what you’ve done and that you cannot make any promises to change, and you know what, you are absolutely right!   This is why that at the very same moment we receive Jesus into our hearts, He puts within us His Spirit (Ephesians 1:13).  From the outside it doesn’t look like anything has changed, but on the inside EVERYTHING has changed.   Join me in this simply prayer

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

Father, it is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from the dead, I shall be saved.  Therefore, Father, I confess that Jesus is my Lord.  I make Him Lord of my life right now.  I believe in my heart that You raised Jesus from the dead.  I renounce my past life with Satan and close the door to any of his devices.  I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin.  Jesus is my Lord, and I am a new creation.  Old things have passed away, now all things become new in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
